The Native Seedling Sale is a great way to buy young trees in bulk at an affordable price without having to rent a trailer to transport them. Seedlings are bare-root, which means there is no soil surrounding the roots when you receive them, and helps them adapt to your soil faster.

These small trees (usually 6-24 inches tall) are available in bundles of 5, 10, 25, and more (up to 1,000) of each species. All seedlings are Michigan-grown and ready to go in the ground as soon as you pick them up.

Orders are placed online starting in mid-February and ending March 31, with pick-up in late April. A limited amount of extra stock may be available for sale during pickup days. Supplies are first-come, first-served; to get the best selection, sign up for our eNewsletter to learn when the sale will begin each year.

This year, GTCD is participating in the Assisted Tree Range Expansion Project (ATREP) to support Climate Change resilience in our forests; check out the five species we’re selling as a part of the program!
